Which course is for me?

BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS)

This bachelor’s degree is designed for those who want to start their journey towards a career in the psychology profession. The course will introduce you to, and develop your understanding of the relationship between the mind, brain, and behaviour, and how this has an effect on society as a whole.

MSc Psychology (BPS)

This psychology master’s degree gives you the skills you need to pursue a career as a professional psychologist, or build on your existing knowledge to advance your career. This is also a psychology conversion course, which means you do not need to have a bachelor's degree in psychology to enrol on the programme.

Through these courses you will be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) from the BPS, essential for pursuing a career in recognised psychology professions. BPS accreditation is also recognised by many professional bodies in countries around the world, such as The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Entry requirements

    BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS)

  • Two subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level including Maths or equivalent; or completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent
  • For students whose prior learning was not taught in English, you must have IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (no less than 5.5 in any element).

    MSc Psychology (BPS)

  • UK Honours Degree at a minimum of second class (2.2) or equivalent
  • Maths qualification equivalent to at least Grade C at GCSE
  • For students whose prior learning was not taught in English, you must have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (no less than 6.0 in any element).
